Just as background, between my first love, book writing, and my job, I have an unhealthy appetite for all things geeky which comes out on occasion. So, I’m looking for beta testers on a website I’ve established for Fantasy and SciFi writers which has lots of neat features which is comparable to Goodreads or Shelfari.
Giant Robots Review is the website I’m hoping I can get people to sign in and test for content, features, etc. The premise is to have a site dedicated to authors/writers, publishers, and readers/reviewers with more information and resources available at the site. It’s a work in progress so interested in any additional/vital features.
Please let me know if interested by email – firstname.lastname@example.org (or simply register at the site). Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.
In other news:
Up to page 135 on my latest book, Battle for Three Realms. On target for August publish if I can get my editor moving on it.

And of course shameless promotion of my FREE BOOK giveaway for Shield of Skool at Goodreads.

As for other items going on in the world of indie publishing, I’m found another site that you might explore. Writing group and online writing workshop for serious writers | Scribophile. I haven’t tried it yet. As for other sites, I have set up an account for my works in Shelfari. You might try the discussion groups there along with Goodreads as well as LibraryThing.
On the second book for the Clovel Sword Series, I’ve not got as much progress as I hoped this week. So my draft deadline for mid July is in jeopardy unless I can get real progress out over the weekends and long holiday week coming.
And, I’ve taken some time to start up another book that will be different from the Clovel Sword works but similar in some ways (think historical fantasy set on earth during the Anglo-Saxon times). That’s enough hint for the moment.
I’ve been lax about getting updates posted on my blog so bear with me. I’ve completed 112 pages on the second book Battle for Three Realms so about 1/3 complete. Trying to finish up by end of July.
Found a great discussion for authors on Goodreads with an agent and I highly recommend a look. Otherwise, I’ve been focused upon marketing my books so here’s a link about that.
Speaking of marketing – Updates to my current books include a free version of Mythos of Kamin for Nook is now available on B&N.Also, Kindle version of Shield of Skool is available here at a great price.
Finally a little humor for the day since it’s about the coming zombie apocalypse.
Just trying to get word out that the new Mythos of Kamin is a FREE DOWNLOAD on the following sites:
Smashwords (Kindle and epub formats)
Kobo Books (epub)
You can find the links on my websites (www.clovelsword.com and www.shannongbrewer.com)
Unfortunately I cannot get it to be free yet on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
In other news, I’m over page 100 on the 2nd book, Battle of the Three Realms and expect that’s about 1/3 of the total for the book (give or take 50 pages more). I’m finding this book to be a challenge do to the split of group and new characters I’m introducing. So, not moving as fast as I expected.
For new information on Indie publishing, here’s a book award links page that is somewhat dated but the links may be useful for the updates and material considered – http://www.thebookdesigner.com/book-awards/
And a forum for book news and posting your information on free books, contests, etc. http://www.worldliterarycafe.com/content/posting-guidelines-please-read
